Unprotected Sun exposure or over exposure to sun can be dangerous to your health. Sunlight produces many changes on our skin and even can lead to tissue damage. It is vital to know when you are being overexposed to sun and how to enjoy sunshine safely without getting harmed by it. Here are dew symptoms of overexposure to know that you should not ignore

 

No Sweating

Sweating is a natural process by which our body regulates its temperature and cools it down. If you are spending too much time in the sun and still not sweating and your skin feels hot and dry, it may be a symptom of HEAT STROKE, which could be a life threatening condition. Heat stroke can cause damage to your organs and even brain.

If you have the above symptoms, immediately call for medical attention and try getting of the sun. Try using ice packs, if handy, onto your skin or just wash with cool water.

 

Feeling Fatigued

When spending time in intense heat, if you feel intense fatigue or having fainting spells, it can be a symptom of Heat Syncope. This occurs when overexposure to sun or high temperatures reduces our blood flow to the brain. Prolonged standing or moving from sitting to standing after an extended period, can exacerbate the condition.

Dehydration can be a major contributing factor as it decreases the overall blood volume. Here are few natural remedies for fighting off fatigue.

Being overexposed to UV rays can result in breakdown of collagen and fiber, which in turn can cause wrinkles. If you start noticing wrinkles on your skin even before onset of wrinkles naturally, take precautions to limit your sun exposure.

Make sure that you apply sunscreen or sun blocking clothing when outside. Eat these healthy fruits to protect your skin from sunburn.

Cataract can occur as a result of UV damage to the eye, which irritates the lens or even burn it. This can result in clouding of the lens or cataract.

Best way to protect your eyes from UV damage is by wearing sunglasses when outside. Make sure to wear glasses that provide protection from UV.

 

Feeling Dizzy or Confused

Being too much in the sun can cause dizziness or confusion, which are signs of Heat stroke. Heat stroke can become serious problem, if not taken care of at appropriate time.

You can treat heat rash by staying in a cooler place and keeping the affected area from the sun and by wearing loose clothing.

 

Headache or Nauseous

If you have a throbbing headache and nausea after being overexposed to the sun, you might be experiencing a heatstroke. This shouldn’t be ignored and need an immediate medical attention.

Other symptoms of heatstroke are vomiting, rapid pulse, red skin and flushed face.

 

Blisters or Bumps

Do you have an itchy bump or painful blisters when exposed to sun over an extended period of time? If yes, then you might be experiencing sun poisoning. Sun poisoning includes symptoms such as fever, chills and nausea.
