Studies have shown that Anise seeds oil is toxic to mosquito larvae and could be effective against controlling vector-borne disease carrying agents. According to the research conducted at Akdeniz University, essential oils of herbs like anise seeds are highly efficient against mosquitoes.

Besides mosquitoes, Anise seeds have been effective against flying pests as well and are considered as a natural, Eco-friendly wasp control measure.

Helps in Fighting Infections

Anise seeds are found to be resistant to fungus and can be used as a natural anti fungal and anti microbial agents due to their anti-septic properties. They inhibit the growth of fungus, bacteria and yeast and further helps in accelerated healing of wounds. Anise seeds is an ultra powerful weapon against nail and toenail fungus, candida and yeast imbalance.

Due to this anti bacteria and antimicrobial properties, it can be used as an effective mouth wash , fighting off bad breath and oral inflammations.

Boil water and add a teaspoon of aniseed to it. Leave this to infuse overnight. Strain and drink first thing in the morning with a little bit of honey. This cures indigestion and stomach pain.

Anise seeds contain several essential minerals like calcium, iron, potassium, magnesium and manganese. Potassium helps in regulating our heart rate and blood pressure. Iron and copper essential for the production of red blood cells and prevents the risk of getting iron deficient anemia.
