Top Nourishing Natural Oils

There are wide range of nourishing and healthy natural oils.  Coconut Oil has been lauded as a “super food” due to its various potential health benefits including promoting heart health, healthy skin and many more. Besides coconut oil, here are few other nutritional and nourishing oils that are good for your skin health.

Almond Oil

 

Almond Oil is nourishes and protects the skin. It is packed with antioxidants including Vitamin A and K and fatty acids. It protects the skin by dissolving sebum on the surface of the skin and can be used as cleanser,, makeup remover and even moisturizer. It can also be used as a natural sunscreen preventing skin damages and premature skin ageing due to harmful sun rays.

 

Avocado Oil

 

Avocado Oil

Avocado is a super food packed with various Vitamins K, C, B5, B6 and E, with folic acid and potassium. Avocado oil can also be used as a moisturizer like coconut oil. It contains Omega-3s, phytosterols and sterolin, which could help repair and heal your skin from damages.

It also contains healthy monosaturated fatty acids and can be added to salads. It can be a great option for frying and roasting as it doesn’t break down to form free radicals at higher temperatures.

 

Rosehip Oil

 

Rosehip oil is a rich source of Vitamin A and C,, antioxidants and healthy fatty acids. It helps reduce dark skin spots, age spots, discoloration, acne scar, blemishes, stretch marks and even minor burns.  It can be used as a moisturizer as it gets absorbed quickly and provides deep moisturization that is good for smoothing fine wrinkles and hydrating dry patches.

 

Argan Oil

Argan oil is a light oil produced from argan nuts. This oil is packed with Vitamin E. It is not greasy and provides suppleness to both skin and hair. Due to its lightweight texture, it can be used as a moisturizer for people whose skin types produce excess sebum. It also contains essential fatty acids that are good for healthy skin.

 

Hemp Seed Oil

 

Hemp seed oil contains Omega-3, 6 and linolenic acid. All these three essential fatty acids are beneficial for healthy skin and hair. It contains anti-inflammatory properties that could be effective in treating skin conditions like psoriasis, acne  and eczema.
