Leek belongs to onion family and commonly used as vegetables in various parts of Europe, America and Asia. Leeks contain many significant anti-oxidants, minerals, vitamins that have proved to be of many health benefits. It is considered as the world’s healthiest foods.

Leeks are one of the good sources of Vitamin A and some other essential vitamins such as Vitamin C, K and Vitamin E, iron and manganese also. Vitamin C is essential for maintaining a strong immune system and it also helps in scavenging harmful and pro-inflammatory free radicals.  Iron is required for blood the formation of hemoglobin while manganese is involved in many reactions in the body.
